Summer Reading Fun!

On May 31, 2018

No one wants to suffer with “summer slide” or “brain drain” when school starts back in August. This means that it can take longer to catch up and get back in the swing of things when the new school year starts. Don’t let this happen! READ, READ, READ! If you need a little extra push or incentive to get you reading, there are lots of summer reading programs out there for little kids, big kids, and grown-ups!

Participate in the summer reading program at the Lexington County Public Library; participate in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge; or come up with your own summer reading challenge!

Remember when you return to WKE, with a completed reading log of any sort with 10 books listed you will get a star on your library card and be able to check out an extra book next year!

Doesn’t matter how you do it, just as long as you READ!

**We hope to see you at one of these Summer Reading KICK-OFF events!
