Awards Day


1st and 2nd grade students will receive recognition for various accomplishments each 9 weeks in their classrooms.

Generally awards are given in the following categories:

Perfect Attendance
:  Students must be present 180 school days and have no more than 10 unexcused tardies.

Principal’s List (Grades 2-5 only): Students who earn all A’s each nine weeks.

Honor Roll (Grades 2-5 only): Students earn all A’s and B’s each nine weeks.

Good Citizens:  Students who exhibit good citizenship all year are recognized (usually one boy and one girl from each classroom).

Principal’s Choice Art Award:  Student artwork is chosen by the art teachers to be displayed in the hallways near the end of the year.  The principal, along with selected others, vote on the one piece of artwork to be framed and permanently displayed in the school.  This student is recognized at Awards Day.

Related Arts Awards:  These awards are given by the related arts programs for special achievement in the areas of Art, PE, and Music.

Service Awards:  Service awards are given for Safety Patrol, Student Council, Cub Report, Friendly Helpers etc.  This is not a complete list, but will assist you in understanding the program and those awards for which your children may qualify.  Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar!
